Custom Portraits by Jeanne Guerin-Daley
Whether
you want a portrait of your grandfather, your dog, or your toddler twins, I
promise to do my absolute best to capture the spirit and personality of your
loved one.
The Process:
Using
photographs supplied by you, (unless it is feasible for me to take the photos)
I will draw or paint your special someone in your chosen medium. The photograph(s)
must be of good quality. Faces need to be large enough for me to see details
clearly. The better the photograph, the better the end result will be. Photos
can be emailed to me digitally or prints can be sent by US mail. Email is
preferable.
Initial
decisions regarding the portrait are discussed:
-choose the photo, medium, and size desired
-choose a background color. (Extra charges may
incur for additional images in background.)
-discuss and agree on any changes to be made.
Once
the photo, medium, and size are chosen, and any other details or desired alterations
are discussed, a 30% deposit is made by check or PayPal transaction. Upon
receipt of the deposit I will begin the portrait. Please allow 4 to 8 weeks for
portrait completion.
Copyright Notes:
1-Please remember that
copyright permission must be requested from the photographer of the photo being
copied.
2-According to copyright
law, I hold all reproduction rights of any original piece created by me.
However, any art prints or cards I might want to produce will not be created
without my client’s knowledge and agreement.

Payment:
30%
deposit is due upon placing order. Balance is due upon client’s satisfaction
with the completed portrait... -OR- SAVE 10%!10% will be deducted from the total if full
payment is made at time of ordering
Pricing:
Prices
are for single and double subject portraits containing plain backgrounds. Additional
costs may apply for items requiring more painting time such as complex
patterns, intricate details and complicated backgrounds. Prices do not include
shipping, framing, or PA state sales tax. Fees are subject to change without
notice.
Shipping:
Once
a proof is emailed and approved, and full payment is received, portraits will
be shipped. There is a $20 charge for mailing in the US;
outside the US,
shipping and handling fees will be calculated on an individual basis.
Printed note cards made from selected images of Jeanne's art (one of which is shown above) may be purchased directly from the artist. They make great all-purpose note cards (thank-you, birthday, wedding, shower, get well, miss you...) because
the insides are left blank for your own personalized message.
Now Available: Cyanotype note cards! The
blue and white images produced by the cyanotype process make unique
note cards. Currently, there are just a few cyanotype images available as a
note card, but more will follow soon!
